STF – Sustainable Travel Finland is now our program. We keep the horses in natural living conditions. Regular examinations of the animal well being are done by local vets. We do not keep the iron shoes on our horses, to save the nature and natural paths in our horses trail rides. The horses hoof care in a natural way keeps them healthy.

Our ways of living sustainable and ecological life outside with horses, and saving with any electricity costs, as well as saving the nature are a part of our life. We are having our certificate of the ecological travel in Finland by ECEAT soon. We will update all the information needed by STF here in English.

Transportation

In case you cancel the trip, we do not return any money within the transport included safaris, if the cancellation is due to your own wish, or reason or sickness. In those cases you need to have your own travel insurance to ask any refunds.

If you have your own transport, look surely the driving time even in winter conditions to Simo. We have a narrow, slippery road during the winter, so drive slowly and carefully. We do not return the money of the booked safari, in case you do not manage to drive here, or arrive late. Arriving late causes the loss of time / money due to your own reason, therefore we do not return the money.

During the northern lights season we do not return any money in the cases, where we do not manage to find or see the northern lights. It is always by searching for the northern lights, that we do our best to see them. In case we won’t see them we can not guarantee 100 % that we or you would see them.

Nor we return anything if the cancellation is due to the customers own sudden wish, fall , sickness, or cold or being scared etc, or other reasons. To cancel the safaris suddenly, ask your own travel insurance if they can do refunds or not.

Good to know

Any food allergies or diets must be communicated when you’re booking. Even if you have already made a reservation beforehand, please confirm that your special needs have been noted if you are paying to the other tourist leaders.

Cancellation policy for other safari sellers or travel agencies

Other companies sell our trips with their own transport and winter clothing fees included. If you book through another company, we can not return our fees, due to your own cancellation or arriving late.
